The third OSPAs Thought Leadership Summit, organised in association with the NSI, takes place on Wednesday, 26th February 2020 at the Royal Lancaster London and the full programme has been released.
The line-up of high-profile speakers are set to provide a platform to debate and challenge matters that affect the whole security community.
A representative from Madrid Police, Inspector Angel Martinez Sendino, will share the Madrid story of reducing false alarms; a challenge to the established methodology in the UK. His talk will examine that success, and why the loser is UK businesses and the British public.
‘It is claimed that the Madrid approach delivers savings and provides for improved performance but is well recognised as non-compliant with UK standards.’ comments Professor Martin Gill – founder of the OSPAs. Gill further added ‘following this talk key influencers from the Police, Inspectorates and Trade Associations will examine the pros and cons of the Spain concept and debate can anything be done to reap the benefits?’
Other topics to be covered include: Why pay a Real Living Wage?; The role of a regulator in promoting best employment practice; Manned guarding: the race to the bottom and can innovation be the future?; Woman in Security: their experiences and key areas for industry development.
