The Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) are delighted to announce that the UK will be the seventh country to host an OSPAs event in 2017. The 2017 UK OSPAs will be held on the 2nd March at the renowned London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square in Mayfair. The night itself will include welcome drinks, a three-course meal, entertainment, followed by the awards themselves and plenty of networking opportunities.
Following the success in the inaugural year of the OSPAs, the scheme is growing rapidly. Last year we held our first three events in Norway, Australia and Germany, and this year we also add the USA, Poland and Romania. With the announcement of the UK, the OSPAs are now represented in seven countries worldwide, with more in the pipeline.
What’s unique about the OSPAs is that it prides itself on being independent from any organisation or association whilst being inclusive by bringing together security associations around the world to celebrate the success stories within the industry. Already, the OSPAs are pleased to announce that the UK event has gained the support of the Security Commonwealth, an umbrella body for all the leading security organisations and associations within the UK.
Entries for the 2017 UK OSPAs will open in August later this year. The categories will be decided in the coming weeks and will consist of two questions (500 words in length) and anyone working in the British security sector can enter. You don’t have to be a member of an organisation or association to do so. The main criterion for entry is that you can show that you or your company have performed at an exceptional level.
